Brittany Murphy was only 29 when she died but she had dozens of television roles under her belt and starred in even more films. She is perhaps best known for her breakout role in the cult classic film “Clueless,” starring opposite Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash. In December 2009, Murphy was rushed to the hospital after collapsing in her bathroom. She went into cardiac arrest and died. The official cause of death was an accidental combination of pneumonia, iron deficiency and multiple prescription drugs. Her husband Simon Monjack died six months later.
