2. John Keats. You may not remember this old soul until you dust off your memories of High School English class. But, John Keats is widely considered to be one of the greatest English poets who ever lived. He also happened to die at a young age, and labored over his craft knowing that he was going to die at a young age. That’s part of what makes his legacy all the more remarkable. He died at the age of 25 in 1821.
