2. Regular Use of the Bathroom During Sleep time
Waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom is called Nocturia. According to the National Sleep Foundation, 65 percent of older adults are sleep deprived as a result of frequent night time urination. Normally, our bodies have a natural process that concentrates urine while we sleep so we can get six to eight hours without waking up. Older people experience the opposite once their body gets weaker, they find it difficult to hold ‘pee’ till morning, thereby interrupting their sleep and waking up tired.
