After his high-profile relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow ended up falling apart after three years together, Pitt went on to briefly date (or, at least, was rumoured to have been with) the German director Katja von Garnier, in 1997. von Garnier and Pitt’s names then came up again more than 10 years later when it was reported that they were chatting it up at the premiere of Inglorious Basterds in 2009. As expected, headlines went wild suggesting that Pitt might be having an affair behind Angelina Jolie‘s back and that it was tearing the two apart. Brangelina was still very much intact though, so there probably wasn’t much truth to that story. What a shocker…
