#5 You should not cancel plans with your girlfriend to hang out with your friends. If you’ve made romantic plans and your girlfriend is about to come home in order for the two of you to have dinner, don’t take any calls from your bros. They’ll likely say, “Hey, we’re about to pass by your house. We come bearing beer!” Although you might have a couple of hours to kill, just say no.
Although it may seem harmless, one thing will lead to another, and your girlfriend will show up, ready for a romantic dinner, only to find your buddies passed out on your couch. Unless your buddies are going to cuddle in close, you can bet you’ll be sleeping alone.
