Human Rights Activist and owner of the online journal platform, Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has been arraigned in court this morning by the Nigerian Government/DSS on trumped-up charges of treason and terrorism. This is the first time Sowore will appear in court and any public place since he was arrested on August 3, 2019.
The embattled activist was released on bail moments after Justice Taiwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja asked the Department Of State Services (DSS) to release him on bail terms.
The activist was charged by the DSS for treasonable felony, cyber stalking president Buhari and other offences.
He was arraigned in court today, and granted bail a but the DSS operatives have chosen to flaunt the court’s order.
