15. D’banj is very close with the Kenyan Group, Sauti Sol

Sauti Sol is a Kenyan afro-pop band formed in Nairobi by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano and Delvin Mudigi in 2005. Initially an a capella group, guitarist Polycarp Otieno joined before they named themselves Sauti.

D’banj hosted an industry Nite in Dubai, alongside Sauti Sol in 2015.

Kanye West in June 2011 signed, D’banj to his, G.O.O.D music label. Kanye West said he saw great prospects for the Nigerian music community and D’banj was the future of African music.
