Excessive menstrual flow is not a normal thing for women who are menstruating. It has been researched on that benign growth in forms of fibroids do cause women who are menstruating to bleed heavily.
According to Mayo Clinic, Menorrhagia is the medical term for menstrual periods with abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding. Although heavy menstrual bleeding is a common concern among premenopausal women, most women don’t experience blood loss severe enough to be defined as menorrhagia.
