8. Heredity
Heredity is when the characteristic features from parents are transmitted to their offspring via genes. Genes are known as unit of inheritance. They act as codes for all what a child will inherit from his parents.
For instance, if the mother of a female child has genes coding for fibroids in her, there is a probability that if the girl child grows into adulthood, she may come up with fibroids.
