The track superstar has been a fan of cricket since he was young and hoped to play professionally. However, his cricket coach advised he switch sport and he opted for track racing. 2. He was born with scoliosis: Usain suffers from scoliosis which is said to be an abnormal curvature in his back. As a young athlete, this hindered his progress but Bolt fought his way through with hard work. The condition does not affect his performance anymore but he still lives with it. He will retire after the 2016 Olympics: After picking up gold already in Rio, Bolt has said he will be retiring from Track and Field after this year’s competition. Rumors are circulating about the track star signing a deal with football club, Manchester United. Usain has always had interest in other sports prior to running track and it is speculated he will switch sports after his retirement. 7.
