3. Bermuda Blob
The Bermuda Blob is the name given for another pair of unidentified blob-corpses that washed ashore in Bermuda in the late 1980’s. The first blob, originally found 1988, was about three feet thick, had white, fibrous skin and five arms or legs and was described as “a disfigured star.” Samples of this specimen were examined in 1995 and best guesses say that this is some kind of bony fish.
The second was found in 1995 and later, with the help of advanced genetic testing procedures not available when the first corpse was found, it was determined that both contained tissue belonging to whales. Even so, these blobs tend to bring up a lot more questions than they answer. Can you even imagine the awful smell that one of these must exude?
