Made Kuti, a Nigerian singer and nephew of embattled musician Seun Kuti, has finally addressed the criticism he received regarding his alleged lack of support for his uncle.
According to a report by THE INFONG, Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti’s father, was arraigned in court on Monday, prompting many Nigerians to accuse Made Kuti of not being present for his uncle’s court appearance.
In response, Made Kuti shared a photo of himself and his father, Femi Kuti, taken at the court premises, aiming to prove his support.
Expressing his perspective, Made Kuti stated that he doesn’t live his life for social media validation and dislikes the idea of having to constantly post things to prove himself.
He cautioned his critics to recognize that there is much more to life than what is portrayed through phone screens, encouraging them to embrace a broader perspective.
In his words;
“At court yesterday, I don’t like that we have to post things on social media to show/prove we’re doing everything we can as a family. But here you go.”
“Because of this many are cursing at us under my father’s last post, swearing at us for doing nothing. We just accept there’s much more to life than what we see on our phones”.
