Ghanaian musicians who lied: The ultimate dream of every Ghanaian musician is to go international. Sadly, the farthest a Ghanaian musician has been is a Nigerian collabo. Featuring a Nigerian artiste was first done by Tic Tac and has been done over the years by Tinny, Samini, Sarkodie, D-Black etc.. This has become a norm such that featuring a Nigerian artiste is not a big deal anymore.

Very few Ghanaian artistes can afford international artistes who will supposedly boost their careers on the international front.
In Nigeria, this is not a big deal as we’ve seen artistes like P-Square, Davido, Wizkid, D’Banj feature the likes of Rick Ross, Akon, Meek Mill, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, T.I. etc..
Weeks ago, our very own Sarkodie made headlines for being the first Ghanaian to seal an international collaboration with US rapper, Ace Hood, known mostly for his songs Hustle, Bugatti etc.. This made Sarkodie trend for days, then it came out that contrary to Sarkodie’s claim that Ace Hood reached out to him, he actually paid for the collaboration. This made many call him a liar. But Sarkodie is not alone, we’ve seen a couple of artistes who may have lied about international collaborations.
