3. Focus on Your TVA Muscle
Few people have probably heard of the TVA muscle, or transverse abdominus. This muscle is located underneath the fat of your beer belly, and it’s the one you move when you suck in your gut. You can blast away your beer gut by squeezing your abdominal muscles while sucking in your gut. While this may sound absurd, it is a proven way of working your TVA muscle. If you have difficulty with this maneuver, first practice by sucking in your gut and then holding it for a few seconds before squeezing your abdominal muscles.
