The film was booed by public and critics alike for its enormous use of retcon. Directed by Russel Mulcahy, the film stars Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, Virginia Madsen and Michael Ironside. The film also bombed at the box office, although it was followed by four more sequels. The film is one of the very few films in the history of Rotten Tomatoes to have 0% score.
