5. Kim Kardashian Prays For Israel
Kim Kardashian tweeted her prayers during the Israel-Hamas conflict and quickly learned that she will never get involved in politics again. In 2012, she tweeted: “Praying for everyone in Israel” and then “Praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world”.
Thousands of Palestinians, both soldiers and civilians, have since been killed in Gaza since the Israeli airstrikes began. Kim found that most of her followers turned against her and some even responded with death threats over her ignorance. She deleted the two tweets and then posted on her website an official apology. 4. Dr.Phil Tries To Understand The Basics Of Rape
Dr. Phil didn’t delete this vile tweet quick enough before it was used as a screen shot to make an example of him around the world. In 2013, he tweeted “If a girl is drunk, is it OK to have sex with her? Reply yes or no to @drphil #teensaccsused”. Dr Phil got quite a backlash from people who thought his tweet was promoting a rape culture.
One user @femme_esq, replied with some common sense: “You know good and goddamn well that “asking” when a girl “deserves” to be raped is a destructive question in itself”. Another user, @ChinHuaLu, tweeted: “If a guy is drunk is it okay to spend all the money in his wallet?” It’s safe to say that he will think before he tweets ever again.
