10. Fetty Wap Met Drake Via Instagram
When Fetty Wap’s “My Way” was circulating its way through the club scene, Drake took notice. Fetty claims Drake first contacted him through Instagram. Fetty says, “He [Drake] sent me a DM, and I sent him my number.” A few days later, while Drake was in Washington, DC at a club listening to Fetty’s smash hit, Drake contacted him via FaceTime. “When I landed from Tampa a couple of days ago, and as soon as I landed and turned my phone off of airplane mode, he was FaceTiming from DC where he was playing “My Way” at a club,” he said.
Drake asked Fetty if he could remix his song and of course Fetty did not decline the kind gesture. “He [Drake] was like, ‘Yo, I want to cut the record tonight.’ Next thing I know, I checked my email and it was there,” said Fetty. Since Drake’s appearance, “My Way” has gained even more popularity.
