APC leaders settles for late Audu’s son to replace his dad – If the decision of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Kogi East Senatorial District is anything to go by, the first son of the late Abubakar Audu, Mohammed Audu will replace his father as the flag-bearer of the party in the inconclusive governorship election in the state.

The leaders who made their decision known in the Kogi state capital, Lokoja today, November 26, after deliberations, stated that they chose Mohammed after due consultations.
Spokesman of the group, Daniel Isah, who is the vice chairman of APC in the senatorial district, said they had resolved and were determined to back Mohammed to replace his father.
According to Isah, the leaders will support Mohammed if the National Working Committee of the APC orders fresh primaries.
Isah also expressed the appreciation of the leaders to the Independent National Electoral Commission and the national leadership of the APC for what he said is the opportunity given to them to find a replacement for the late Audu.
He appealed to the national leadership of the APC to give their decision utmost consideration and approval in the overall interest of the party and the state.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, present at the meeting were big wigs in the party like Lincho Ocheje, Hassan Omale, Benjamin Ikhani, Emmanuel Dangana, among others.
