And whether we like it or not, the media has been presenting polls which show Trump as the preferred nominee by over 20 percent. But what does he actually offer the US? A few humorous hashtags. Hilarious memes. All that money he brags about. Insight into the mind of a madman. Comedic material. And if a man like this is worthy of having his name on a ballot, then perhaps we should take a look at some other celebrities who might deserve it more. George Lopez – #I’mGonnaGetMexicoToPayForTheWall Donald Trump recently pissed off the Hispanic community when he claimed Mexico was “sending people with lots of problems,” calling them “rapists” and accusing Mexicans of bringing “crime” and “drugs” to America. It seems Mr. Trump has forgotten that this country was built by immigrants, and that Hispanics make up the largest portion of the American population. But it’s okay! Comedian George Lopez was there to remind him. Lopez’s adamant, yet intelligently contrived internet trolling has earned him the right to call himself a better presidential candidate than Trump. While starting trending hashtags such as #PelosForPresident and #I’mGonnaGetMexicoToPayForTheWall, Lopez has stated that while he feels Trump’s comments are vile and he doesn’t agree with them at all, he stands by Trump’s right for freedom of speech. Can he be any more American? Lopez also brought into perspective that American immigrants and tourists aren’t so great either. In a hilarious sketch for Funny or Die , he impersonates a Mexican Donald Trump running for president in Mexico whose campaign involves building a wall to keep out all the American fugitives, spring breakers, and rapists. It really puts Trump’s ridiculous opinions into perspective. 9. Kim Kardashian – Russell Simmons Thinks So… Kim Kardashian may be famous for doing nothing, but according to fashion designer and Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons, she’d make a better president than Donald Trump. It began with an interview with HuffPost Live where Simmons made these comments regarding Trump’s run for presidency: “I don’t like his politics. I don’t think he’d be good for America at all. He makes a lot of news. Doesn’t have as much influence as, say, Kim Kardashian. She would probably be a better president, in my opinion.” In many ways, Simmons is right. Kim has influenced everything from the fashion industry to the adult entertainment industry with her infamous sex tape. Why not run for president? Simmons later tweeted, “A sweet compassionate celebrity is better than a conservative angry one. No diss on either person.” Sweet and compassionate? Cher may not be able to turn back time, but she sure can keep up with Donald Trump’s obnoxious and unruly tweets. While neither seem to comprehend the social guidelines which should be considered before posting anything online, Cher’s posts are funny and slightly less immature. Just slightly . She tweeted “Donald Trump can’t come up with a hairstyle that looks human, how can he come up with a plan to defeat ISIS.” His response? “I don’t wear a ‘rug’ – it’s mine. And I promise not to talk about your massive plastic surgeries that didn’t work.” Cher has been heavily involved in keeping up with each presidential candidate, voicing her opinions like a school-girl on twitter. What makes her a better candidate than Trump is that she knows she’s hitting below the belt with her social media posts. Before calling him an “arrogant asshole with an ego the size of Texas,” she tweeted that she knows her comments were “cheap shots”. This was in response to a serious Donald supporter who was upset about the tweet regarding his hair. 7. Kathy Griffin – “Bring My Coffee B*$#@ Kathy Griffin has compared Donald Trump’s campaign remarks to Gary Busey‘s career and his tweets to Amanda Bynes‘ own schizophrenic twitter page, all which she claims has been “comedy gold” for her career and which she predicts will produce ample amounts of entertainment for the world if Trump actually becomes president. Griffin has thrown herself into the mix for comparison as well stating, “I’ve been to Iraq and Afghanistan, and Donald Trump hasn’t. So, at this point, I’m actually more qualified.” She emphasizes this hierarchy by tweeting to him regularly, “Please don’t be president, but do what you should do which is get my coffee b*tch.” Even though Trump has yet to respond with one of his teen-like tweets in offended retort, it seems Griffin did bring up a point. Trumps narrow-minded views may stem from his lack of worldly travels. Perhaps assistance in a less fortunate country should be a new requirement for presidential candidates. Now that would make a hit reality show! 6. Muhammad Ali – Even His Insults Are Classy Muhammad Ali is a classy man. When Donald Trump started speaking out against Muslim-Americans, Ali released a statement without throwing Trump under the bus. He simply implied that his response was directed towards any “presidential candidates proposing to ban Muslim immigration to the United States.” He goes on to say that he is Muslim, and that “…political leaders should use their position to bring understanding about the religion of Islam and clarify that these misguided murders have perverted people’s views on what Islam really is.” It seems some of the current candidates could use some education on this subject. 5. Becky G – Understands The American Dream Eighteen-year-old Mexican-American singer, Becky G, fought back when Donald Trump’s comments about Mexican immigrants hit the press. She destroyed his narrow-minded opinions with a song emphasizing the hardships immigrants go through just to start a life for themselves in the United States. The lyrics describe Latino families working multiple jobs to get by and traditions of having a large family and speaking to each other in Spanglish. While Becky G is far too young to be considered as a presidential candidate, the girl seems to have a better head on her shoulders than Trump. One thing’s for sure, she certainly has more insight into the American dream and what it takes for immigrant families to become successful. While other celebs simply tweeted out what a moron they think Trump is, Becky G took the imitative to get her voice heard. 4. Bill O’Reilly – Put Trump In His Place About Stats Bill O’Reilly is smart. So smart, in fact, that he knows to do some fact checking before throwing anything up on social media. It seems Donald Trump doesn’t have time for such things. He even said so to O’Reilly in an interview in November. In this interview, O’Reilly refers to a retweet which claimed that 81 percent of murdered Caucasians were killed by African-Americans. He states, “That’s totally wrong; whites killed by blacks is fifteen percent, yet you tweeted it was 81 percent.” And what was Trump’s defense? “Bill! Bill, am I gonna check every statistic?” Um…yeah! Or use all those billions of dollars you brag about to pay someone to fact check your tweets. Bill O’Reilly knows this. America knows this. All of the other presidential candidates know this. Trump just doesn’t seem to care. 3. Conan O’Brien – Trump Is Not Comedy Gold Donald Trump may have orange skin, but Conan O’Brien has orange hair. O’Brien, who said Trump behaves like someone from another planet, has trouble turning his soundbites into comedy saying: “It’s so absurd. How comedy works is, you say the setup, and it’s not supposed to make people laugh. With Trump, you say the setup, and people are laughing. And then you’re supposed to top that! I find it actually more difficult.” Even though Trump’s unfiltered remarks are stealing the thunder from his jokes, O’Brien would like us to know what kind of humor a president should have. He says, “I like my president to see the world as an absurd, screwed-up place, and have a sense of irony about it, because I think that’s the best human characteristic someone can have if they’re trying to lead the free world.” He’s clearly talking about himself, right? 2. Rosie O’Donnell – She’d Smear Period Blood On Trump During the presidential candidate debate in August, Donald Trump was questioned about his history with calling women he disliked “fat pigs” and “slobs”. He quickly interrupted this accusation made by Fox news anchor Megyn Kelly, claiming he has only ever said these things about Rosie O’Donnell. Trump later went to speak of the incident in an interview stating, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her – wherever.” Many, including Rosie O’Donnell, have understood his comment to mean that he was belittling Kelly, and insinuating that she was PMSing. Let the period-shaming blowback ensue! In response to this and the general war against women’s rights, O’Donnell said in a radio interview, “I’d like to take my period blood that I no longer have and write, ‘You’re all assholes.’ I’d like to smear it all over some people’s faces, OK?” Her feminist spunk makes her an ideal candidate, plus we’d get to see her throw period blood on people which is far more entertaining than anything Trump is doing. 1. Charlie Sheen – Called Trump “A Shame Pile Of Idiocy” Charlie Sheen’s original response to Donald Trump running for president may not have been so friendly, but it seems he’s changed his tune. Only weeks after calling Trump “a shame pile of idiocy” whose words are “as poignant as a sack of cat farts”, Sheen decided he’d love to be considered as Trump’s vice president. WTF? In an interview with The Daily Beast , Owen Wilson compared Trump’s campaign to Sheen’s tiger blood tirade of 2011. For some reason Sheen took this as a compliment and tweeted “I’m honored! Thank you! If Trump will have me I’d be his VP in a heartbeat!” He even went as far as using the disturbing hashtag, #TrumpSheen16. Why stop at VP, Sheen? Why not go all the way?
