6. Anne Hathaway
If you are an actor and you are auditioning for a movie role that involves horses, you can expect that the director is going to ask you about your riding ability. When Anne Hathaway was auditioning for a part in 2005’s critically acclaimed film Brokeback Mountain, director Ang Lee asked about Anne’s horseback riding ability. She said riding wouldn’t be a problem for her. Anne landed the part of rodeo queen Lureen, and took some riding lessons to prepare for the role. However, it wasn’t enough. When they began filming, Ang realized that Anne was lying about her ability when the horse wouldn’t do what she wanted it to, and she eventually fell off. Anne’s poor riding did not hurt the film, it received numerous awards and nominations.
