9. Kylie Jenner In Cornrows

18-year-old reality television star Kylie Jenner caused quite a stir when she posted this picture of herself in cornrows back in July. Among those offended was Amandla Stenberg, the actress known for her portrayal of Rue in The Hunger Games. Stenberg called Jenner out in the comments section of the photos by posting: “when u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards your ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter.” Kylie responded with: “Mad if I don’t, Mad if I do…. Go hang w Jaden or something.” A few days later, Kendall Jenner posted a picture of herself in cornrows as well, probably as a sign of solidarity to her sister.
