8. Britney Spears

According to Britney’s ex, dancer Kevin Federline, he didn’t realize that the couple was divorcing until he found out the news during an interview. After being together for a few years, Spears and Federline ended their marriage in 2007, after having two sons together. Britney says that “irreconcilable differences” caused the split, and Kevin alluded to the fact that Britney was abusing substances at the time and not thinking clearly. Perhaps Kevin’s lack of ability to provide for the family was contributing to her stress (he was a backup dancer and pizza delivery boy when they met). In order to settle the divorce, Spears was ordered to pay Federline $40,000 a month, which definitely didn’t make the process any easier.
