5. Kim Kardashian

We all remember back in October of 2011 when Kim Kardashian split from Kris Humphries, her husband of 72 days. While the marriage didn’t last long in the traditional sense, it certainly was a lengthy union legally. Humphries felt duped, refused to divorce Kardashian, and asked for an annulment instead. He didn’t want to grant any of Kim’s requests during the divorce proceedings, and Kardashian’s lawyer even said that Kris was “holding Kim hostage.” In April of 2013, Kris finally decided to divorce Kim, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The divorce came shortly before Kim gave birth to daughter North, with now-husband Kanye West.
