13. Cristina of Spain – Tax Evasion

So back to Spain we go. The King’s sister, known as Infanta Cristina, is currently under investigation for alleged involvement in her husband’s shady accounting. Inaki Urdangarin has been accused of various corruption charges including theft of public funds, money laundering, and tax evasion. Infanta Cristina was accused, back in 2015, of having been involved heavily in the tax evasion part of this controversy.

If a member of a royal family did misuse funds in this way, that would be a real slap on the face: if modern monarchies are scams (they are) this would be a scam within a scam. Terrifying.
