Sahara Reporters is reporting that troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued another one of the more than 200 Chibok schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents in 2014.
According to the report, the girl was rescued with her baby near Sambisa Forest.
Sahara Reporters quotes a government source as saying that the name of the girl rescued is Rakiya Abubakar and she was carrying baby that appears to be hers.
The rescue was made by troops of the 27 Brigade of the Nigerian Army around Alagarno near Ajigin in Damboa local government area of Borno state.
Rakiya makes the 29th Chibok girl rescued out of the more than 200 girls abducted by Islamist Boko Haram fighters in April 2014 while preparing for their secondary school examinations.
This rescue comes just hours after the Bring Back Our Girls Group said it will commence another round of protests to demand the release of the remaining over 190 girls still in the captivity of the Boko Haram terrorists.
In a statement on Tuesday, January 3, the #BBOG group said its protest will begin on Sunday, January 8, 1000 days after the over 200 girls were abducted by the terror group from their secondary school in Chibok, Borno state.
