5. Eleanor Parker

Eleanor Jean Parker was an American actress who appeared in some 80 movies and television series. An actress of notable versatility, she was called Woman of a Thousand Faces, the title of her biography by Doug McClelland. She was nominated for Academy Awards three times for her portrayals of strong-willed women and played a scheming baroness in “The Sound of Music,”. She died at the age of 91, on Dec. 9, 2013 near her home in Palm Springs, Calif. She had married four times and had four children.
