18. Skippers Road (New Zealand)
This road has a brief history. It is said about this road that in 1862, a couple of shepherds discovered gold in the Shotover River near Queenstown, New Zealand. This thing created the need of an access to this road and resultantly the Skippers Road was constructed. This is a narrow road and it took about 22 years to complete. In most places, this road is too narrow for vehicles to pass each other. There are no guardrails and this thing makes this road more dangerous.
