8) Graeme McDowell (Net Worth: £25 Million)
Whilst McDowell turned professional in 2002, He struggled for consistency, swapping between the PGA and European Tour. He was part of the European team at the 2008 Ryder Cup and won 2.5-points as the European team were blown away by their U.S. counterparts. The defining year of McDowell’s career thus far is 2010. The year started with him becoming the first Northern Irishman to win the US Open, and first European since Tony Jacklin’s win in 1970. McDowell would then go on to win the final match of the 2010 Ryder Cup and gain the European team a 14.5 – 13.5 victory. The Northern Irishman has won in excess of £20-million in prize money and has sponsorship deals with Mastercard, Royal Bank of Canada and Ecco. In 2011, McDowell signed a deal with Japanese golf equipment maker, Srixon, which sees him net £1.8-million a year.
