7. Metta World Peace – “The Panda’s Friend”

You probably know that basketball player Ron Artest changed his name to Metta World Peace in 2011. What you might not know is that World Peace goes by yet another name now – “The Panda’s Friend.” When World Peace went to China in 2014, he developed quite a liking for the black-and-white bears, and took to Twitter and Instagram to express his love in – well – interesting ways. While he later deleted the posts, which included shoddy photoshops of himself next to pandas, it’s unclear if he still wants to go by “The Panda’s Friend,” if he’s back to World Peace, or if maybe he’ll come up with an even better, wackier name.
