Don’t believe us? Just take a look at our list of 15 Times Celebs Were Embarrassingly Kicked Out of Planes. As crazy as these stories sound, they are all true, and there are even more stories that we didn’t include in our list today. For instance, Conrad Hilton was once kicked off of a flight for calling his fellow passengers “peasants” and acting all high and mighty. What a jerk!
If you want to read about more crazy instances of celebs getting the boot, then you need to read through this list. A word to the wise would be to pay attention to the way these celebrities act, and never try these things on a plane. Christian Slater learned this the hard way, as did Lamar Odom. You can think of this list as your guidelines for what not to do on a plane or while boarding a flight. Thanks for teaching us what to bring along, Amanda Bynes! If you’re ready, then continue reading through our list to behold some of the most stupid and inane ways that celebs managed to get themselves kicked off of a flight. And remember that not only did they delay their own travels, but they held up all of the other people who were traveling with them! Totally rude and shallow!
15. Dave Chappelle
Deemed a safety threat to the plane and its passengers, comedian Dave Chappelle had to be escorted off a flight back in the summer of 2010. He had a mental breakdown on a flight aboard a private jet which caused the pilot to make an emergency landing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to remove Dave for safety reasons. The story of what really happened is a bit muddled, but one version is that the comedian ran up to the pilot, grabbed his arm, and kept bugging him about when the flight would be over. When Dave was asked to comment on the incident, one of his representatives said that the comedian just had to go to the bathroom. Uh, then why didn’t he just go? Something was fishy about this story, but Dave got out of it relatively unscathed. After he was escorted off the plane, he didn’t give anyone any trouble, but it was still a freakish event that delayed the other passengers from reaching their destinations.
