5 Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra – 9 days
Dennis Rodman was basketball’s ultimate bad boy. He was part of the rough and rugged Detroit Pistons team that bagged back-to-back NBA championships in the latter part of the 80s. He then spent a few troubled years with the San Antonio Spurs. A stint with the Chicago Bulls that teamed him up with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and coached by Phil Jackson tamed Rodman as he behaved well enough to stay for three years, winning a title each time out. Unfortunately, Baywatch babe Carmen Electra failed to tame Rodman the way the Bulls did. They got married in November 1998 and filed for an annulment a mere nine days later.
4 Dennis Hopper and Michele Phillips – 8 days
The two were icons of the 1960s. Dennis Hopper co-wrote, directed and starred in the movie entitled “Easy Rider,” which is considered the movie symbol of the 1960s. Michele Phillips was a member of The Mamas & the Papas. Hopper, however, had a lot of baggage as he was difficult to be with and was a notorious drug addict. They got married on October 31, 1970 and divorced just eight days later.
3 Jason Alexander and Britney Spears – 55 hours
Britney Spears started out in “The New Mickey Mouse Club” before exploding to the pop music scene with “Baby, One More Time” in 1999, the biggest selling solo album by a teenage artist ever made. She followed it up with another blockbuster hit called “Oops!…I Did It Again.” She became a pop icon and her every move was scrutinized by the media, including her relationship with Justin Timberlake, her fellow Mickey Mouse Club graduate who was making it big himself. It probably came too fast and too much for Spears as she was obviously harking back to her more innocent childhood days by hooking up with her old friend Jason Alexander. The two got married in Las Vegas before Spears realized the folly and described it as a joke that went too far.
