9. The clean version of the album still contained a lot of curse words.
A bit of an oddity, the “edited” version of The MMLP was still laced with curse words: “ass, b*tch, goddamn, sh*t, and n*gga,” to name but a few. Many a young suburban tween who compromised with their parents for the clean copy got shafted when Mom discovered (much to her horror) that sweet little Eric was listening to mildly dirty words, despite the lack of a Parental Advisory sticker.
Thankfully, at least those parents never had to find out about the existence of “Kim,” which appeared only on the explicit version and was famously replaced by “Kids” for the kiddy version.
