7. Giant Freshwater Stingray – It’s Large And Rather Harmless
They don’t call this thing giant for nothing. This ridiculously-large stingray is found in the rivers of Indochina and Borneo, and can weigh up to 1,300 pounds. Typically keeping to the bottom of rivers, the Giant Freshwater Stingray has sadly been put on the endangered species’ list. Although these things are not aggressive (thank God) it does have a sting that is capable of piercing bone. It mostly survives by eating fish and mollusks. Although it means no one any harm, and spends its days floating down the rivers of Borneo, at 1,300 pounds I am sure that it terrifies anything that crosses its path.
