CHRIS “MAC DADDY” KELLY
Along with his partner Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly became an international star before he could legally drive. Jermaine Dupri turned Kris Kross into hip-hop’s hottest young stars back in the 90’s thanks to their hit debut song “Jump.” But several years and a couple albums later, the hip-hop duo was all but forgotten. In 2013, Kris Kross performed at Dupri’s So So Def’s 20th anniversary concert. Months later Kelly was found unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital where he couldn’t be saved. Kelly died of a drug overdose at the age of 34.
