It is clear that confidence can impact several areas of your life, which we will go over, but it is also important to always remember that this is not easy. Building up your sense of confidence is something that may fluctuate every day, but just because today is a tough day, it doesn’t mean tomorrow has to be. However, what you will find is that the more active effort you put into improving your sense of confidence, the more it may increase. I used to look in front of a mirror every single day, and if I did not find myself attractive in my outfit, I went and I got changed. It radically changed my fashion sense (for the better, hopefully!) but also taught myself that confidence is something that you can build up every single day. I don’t look in the mirror every day in that way anymore, but you can believe that the long lasting confidence that I got from that experience impacts me every single day (even if I don’t realize it at the time). I don’t know if you know this, but your job is a pretty important part of your life. The more confident you feel in your place of employment, the more optimistic you may feel about your future. Confidence does not mean always knowing what to do. Sometimes you are going to make mistakes, but you can still be confident that overall you’re doing an excellent job. Confidence leads to you having the ability to ask questions when you are confused, instead of making mistakes and not realizing until it is too late. If you are confident in your job, it may also lead to a much stronger positive attitude and that can not only lead to promotions (woohoo!) but also make you seem like someone who is easy to work with. Their Outlook On Unemployment As valuable as confidence is when you are in your place of employment, it is just as important when you are going through a transition period in your life. It is totally okay to feel like your future is uncertain, and if you are going through a rough patch, there may not be much reason to be optimistic. Nobody is going to be amazing at sex the first time, and it’s important to realize that and not let any negative experiences diminish your confidence. In contrast, a confident lover can be a fantastic trait to have. It can be really easy to feel like you don’t have the energy to go out when you are not feeling great about yourself. If you can start to increase your sense of confidence, you may start seeking out opportunities to be out and about. I used to hate going out, until I didn’t let myself leave the house until I said something nice about myself to help increase my sense of confidence. If you are confident in what you love, you may also find yourself more willing to expand your comfort zone and try out new activities. What’s the worst that could happen? If you find yourself in a romantic relationship, you may easily notice the difference in your partner when they are feeling confident versus when they are not. The more confident you feel in yourself, the more you may be willing to put the effort into your relationship because you know that you and your partner deserve it. A healthy relationship also may be one that takes energy, and if you are always feeling drained you may not be up for putting in the work that is required. One of the biggest deterrents to feeling confident in yourself may be found when you look at your wardrobe. Fashion does not have to be expensive to be good, but clothes that suit your body will do a world of difference for your confidence. However, if you are feeling particularly down after a breakup, it may be partially because you developed your sense of self as being dependent on your relationship. Not only will being confident increase your relationship when you are in one, but it will also make being single seem like a whole lot less of a big deal. Be confident that you are an amazing person, and worthy of a relationship. The biggest thing that will improve when you further your sense of confidence? Easily it is your state of your overall mental health. Every single person in this lifetime is going to be faced with adversity, but the more confident you are, the more confident you should be that the adversity will pass and it will leave you with a stronger sense of self.
