4. Ghost in the Shell
This movie derives from a widely beloved Japanese manga by Masamune Shirow and fans are both nervous and excited to see the story hit the box office. Main character The Major, a cybernetic human-bot with tons of implants that help lead Section 9 elite special ops unit. Scarlett Johansson was cast as The Major and fans were speculative if the whole project was now in the dumps. Director Rupert Sanders persisted despite American complaints about “white-washing” a Japanese film but in Japan everyone actually expected a white actress to be cast in the lead role.
As far as making the movie is concerned, production is wrapped and the film will be out in March of 2017 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX3D. Four teaser trailers have been released and each shows the intricate sets and costumes that could sway those fans back into seeing the action movie on opening day next Spring.
