Jim Walton is the baby of the Walton clan. In September 2005, Walton replaced his brother John after his passing, on the Wal-Mart Board of Directors. Jim is part of the Strategic Planning and Finance committees.
Walton was CEO of Arvest Bank before becoming Chairman of Arvest, as well as Chairman of newspaper firm Community Publishers Inc. Community Publishers Inc is owned by Walton himself and was founded by his father after acquiring the local paper Benton County Daily Record which operate in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
Together, he and his siblings pledged approximately 2 billion dollars to the Walton Family Foundation.
12 Sergey Brin- 47.5 Billion
Sergey Brin is a 44-year-old billionaire who was born in Russia. Brin, who now lives in California is a computer scientist and internet entrepreneur.
Brin co-founded Google with the help of Larry Page. Brin is the President of Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc.
Sergey Brin immigrated to America when he was six years old. He earned his bachelors degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and followed in his father (and grandfather’s) footsteps by studying mathematics and computer science. He then earned his Ph.D. in computer science at Stanford University where he met Page and their lives began to change forever.
11 Larry Page – 48.8 Billion
Lawrence Edward Page, known to the world as Larry Page is best known around the globe as one of the co-founders of Google. Page is the CEO of Alphabet Inc, which is Google’s parent company.
Page, who is worth a pretty penny, is also an investor in Tesla Motors. He has invested in renewable energy technology and promotes hybrid plug-in electric cars as well as other alternative energy investments.
Page is very passionate about the socio-economic effects of advanced intelligent systems. He is also curious about the advanced digital technologies that can be used to shorten the workweek and to mitigate the potential detriments of technological unemployment.
