Bad Boy Timz, the up-and-coming Nigerian singer, whose real name is Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, recently shared a harrowing experience from his childhood.
During an interview with British-Nigerian media personality, Shopsydoo, Bad Boy Timz recounted a traumatic incident when he was just nine years old.
He described how his family was traveling in a car through the Mushin area of Lagos when they were unexpectedly ambushed by assailants. In a frightening turn of events, the gunmen began firing indiscriminately, and tragically, one of the bullets struck him in the eye.
He said: “I got shot in my eye when I was nine years old. They were assassins, they didn’t even stop the car, they just shot the bullets. It was not a robbery.
“Me, my mom, my dad, and my immediate elder brother. It was four of us in the car. The incident happened in Lagos, Mushin to be precise. They just overtook us and started shooting. They were targeting my dad’s head, he dodged and the bullet went straight into my eye.”
