Barrymore
In an interview with Elle magazine, the incredibly grounded (and likeable! no wait, scratch that, loveable!) Barrymore discussed the media’s body criticism, which she has experienced throughout the course of her career. “If you’re too thin, they kill you and if you’re too fat, they kill you. There’s no such thing as perfection and someone else’s definition of it is not good enough for me.”
After giving birth to her second child, Barrymore sat down with People magazine, and discussed the difficulty of losing the baby weight. “It took nine months to build. It should take nine months to get off. I wanted fettuccini alfredo. I didn’t want a barbell. “I was like, ‘Don’t talk to me about how fast and fabulous you are or it came off.’ That was not my experience. I’m having to work my ass off until I even think about getting it off.”
