Or the fact that you hear about them all the time in the news and social media so you kind of know what they are up to. It leads you to wonder when they found the time to go through a stage involving drugs? How did we miss that?
Of course, there are those celebs who don’t really shock us much at all about their involvement with drugs but their stories are still entertaining.
Below is a list of celebrity drug confessions that will make your jaws drop.
11. Michael Phelps
Michael Phelps is an American competition swimmer and Olympic gold medalist. He’s your typical athlete as he comes off as focused, driven and overall, wouldn’t have time to socialize nor have a personal life outside of his sport. In 2009 though, the 30-year-old swimmer was caught smoking a bong when photos surfaced on the internet. He later commented on his behavior in a statement saying, “I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” Phelps said. “I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry.” With those record-breaking numbers and over-achievements, his bad boy behavior hasn’t come close to ruining his reputation.
