We have seen some rise and others fall, but one thing is for sure, there’s a lot more to most entertainers than what we see on television. Even though opportunities seem abundant in Tinsel Town, the truth is, the more talented and unique an entertainer is, the more likely they will be able to last. When most hear “crazy hidden talents,” the first thing that comes to mind is a celebrity opening a restaurant or boutique, starting a fashionable clothing line or directing their very first Hollywood movie. While all of these are amazing business ventures, nothing is as interesting as a celebrity that is born with natural talent or a skill that clearly took time to hone. I looked far and wide to keep you entertained. On my journey for interesting celebrity facts, I discovered some crazy facts about a list of celebs that even surprised me. Taylor Swift – Hair Stylist It is clear that Taylor Swift is both talented and popular. One of Swift’s biggest claims to fame, is being one of the first recording artist to sell over 1 million copies within the first week, for 3 of her albums. Swift is also no stranger to being in the public eye, as she recently challenged Apple over their 30 day free trial program which was offered to customers, but gave no profit to the musicians. After a short lived, but publicized battle, Taylor Swift won her case for celebrities to receive compensation during this promotion. On top of this, Swift is a talented artist, who after starting with country music made a fantastic transition to pop and continues to surprise us with her many talents. Most of us know she can write and play the piano, guitar and banjo, but Miss Swift has another talent many of you may not know. When it comes to keeping her hair looking great, it’s Swift herself that claims she is fantastic at being able to cut her own hair. That doesn’t mean that Joseph Cassel isn’t Taylor’s personal stylist but add cutting hair to her many skills and what do you get? Jeremy Renner – Real Estate The muscle toned, heart throbbing Jeremy Renner is clearly a versatile actor. When you check him out in Mission :Impossible – Rogue Nation he brilliantly toes the line between hilarity and action. Then when you consider how much of a tough guy he can be as Hawkeye in The Avengers , there is no doubt he is one of the most talented actors out there. Yet his Instagram shows another different side of Jeremy and his daughter who clearly have a passion for outdoors. Can you guess what Jeremy Renner’s secret talent is? Eva Longoria – Cooking The Mexican American actress Eva Longoria is no ‘Desperate Housewife’ despite her role on the TV show being her claim to fame. Longoria may also appear in the tabloids because she is best friends with ex Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, but alas singing is not in her future. Eva’s always had a passion for cooking, and opened her first restaurant, Beso, in 2008. Beso opened with Celebrity Chef Todd English at the helm, but it failed to be a success and was part of the reason behind Longoria filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Yet big credit goes to Longoria who got right back on her feet in 2011 when she published her first book called “ Eva’s Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends.” Aside from food and restaurants, Eva also knows how to play the clarinet. 12. Sandra Bullock – Speaking German Whether she is on the big screen or on the red carpet, Sandra Bullock always knows how to make us laugh. When she is not making us laugh, she is known for her former marriage to the tattooed TV personality Jesse James. Bullock is clearly full of love, and also has chosen to adopt a child who she is raising alone. As a result, nobody can blame her for her acting career simmering down since her last big roles in Heat and Gravity in 2013. One talent that sticks with Bullock and broadens her acting range is the fact that she is fluent in German. To be fair, it would be hard not to be when you consider she was raised in the city of Nuremberg for 12 years and her parents are also of German heritage. 11. Snoop Dogg – Coaching Football Snoop Dogg may have risen to fame because of his musical ability, but this internationally known rapper is famous for many different things outside of his rap skills. Snoop has no shortage of acting credentials to his name, including starring alongside Denzel Washington in Training Day . Snoop is also clearly not afraid to laugh, and co-starred with Samuel Jackson in Soul Plane as well as making an appearance in the comedy Scary Movie 5 . We may not see him as much in music videos or making albums at the rate that he used to, but Snoop Dogg has also made a name for himself as a certified football coach on his son Cordell’s football team at John A. Rowland High School. 10. Jennifer Garner – Clogging Jennifer Garner has had an incredibly succesful career as an actress. With not only prominent roles, but prominent awards (such as a Golden Globe), there is no doubting the acting talent of Garner. Garner’s versatility may be one of her biggest strengths, and if you are a fan of comic books, you may be interested to know she has played the Marvel comic character Elektra. Given that Valentine’s Day is approaching, you may also love seeing her in one of her helpless romantic roles, such as in the movie (fittingly named) Valentine’s Day. While her 10-year marriage to Ben Affleck is coming to an end, there are still talents for Garner to fall back on. Jennifer knows not only how to engage in the folk dance style of clogging, but is also an incredibly talented saxophinist. 9. Halle Berry – Playing The Flute When it comes to Halle Berry, there is no shortage of roles in Hollywood that she has succeeded in. Berry has been credited as being a film producer, along with being one of the best actresses in Hollywood. Berry’s biggest claim to fame may come from her Academy Award winning role in the film Monster’s Ball. While her personal life has not always had ups, Berry is clearly an outstanding mother to her daughter Nahla. While Berry is known for her physical beauty, she also has a musical side. Berry admits that she can play the flute, a talent she learned during her days in high school. 8. Will Arnett – Hockey There is no doubting that Will Arnett is one of the funniest actors in Hollywood. No matter what your favorite role of his is, Arnett kept many audience members in stitches for his roles in the television shows Arrested Development, 30 Rock, The Millers, as well as big screen hits such as Blades of Glory . Arnett also has a long resume of voice over roles in video games which further adds to him being a very dynamic entertainer. To live up to his Canadian roots, Will is known for being an excellent hockey player and played it often when he was growing up in Toronto. Try not to blame Arnett TOO much, but he claims he is still a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs (ew). 7. Natalie Portman – Academics The Jerusalem-born Natalie Portman studied acting and dancing at a young age in New York City. While many actors don’t get their break until they are older, Portman’s first role came when she was still a young girl, in the film Leon: The Professional . Portman further grew to fame when she starred as Padme in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace . After that, it wasn’t too long until she grew in prominence, appearing in other big films such as V for Vendetta, Thor, and Black Swan . Aside from knowing how to speak Hebrew, fans may be interested to know that Portman has been a vegetarian since the age of 8. Natalie Portman is also a Scientist and a Scholar with a degree in Psychology from Harvard University in addition to publishing two scientific papers. Clearly she has both beauty, and brains. 6. Iggy Azalea – Horseback Riding The Australian native is no stranger to controversy. Social media is a big thing in society, and Iggy Azaleashocked many with her constant Twitter feuds with successful entertainers such as Britney Spears and Snoop Dogg. Despite her controversial personality, there is no doubting Azalea’s talent and she won the 2015 People’s Choice Award as the favorite Hip-Hop artist. If 2014 and 2015 wasn’t enough of a roller coaster ride for Iggy, getting an engagement ring from L.A. Lakers player Nick Young was icing on the cake. In order to relax, one of Azalea’s hidden talents is that she knows how to ride a horse. Azalea has two, named Defender and Strictly Business, and claims that horseback riding is one of her favorite past times. 5. Dwayne Johnson – Singing There is no doubting that The Rock knows how to lay the smackdown. If you’re going to a movie that he is starring in, one thing that we can count on Dwayne Johnson to provide is a good action movie experience. One of his most testosterone-fueled roles comes in the movie series Fast and the Furious where he plays the DSS agent Luke Hobbs. If you didn’t love Johnson as an actor, you may love him for his former days in the WWE where he was the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. On top of that, Johnson’s physical skills allowed him to play football at the University of Miami and led to a (failed) attempt to play for the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL. Yet for someone as talented as Johnson, the hidden skills keep coming. Believe it or not, Dwayne can also sing and I’m not talking drunk karaoke, this man can really sing his heart out. While we don’t know to what extent, let’s hope Johnson lends his musical voice to his upcoming role in the Disney Animated film Moana. 4. Heidi Klum – Painting Is there anything that Heidi Klum can’t be successful at? Klum may first come to your mind as being the gorgeous model who you’ve seen on the Victoria’s Secret runway. Or it may be the girl whose hosted numerous reality TV shows, on top of being a successful businesswoman and television producer. Outside of the limelight, she is also a mother of 4 and has been through a prominent divorce from singer Seal. Klum is currently linked to Vito Schnabel, who is an art dealer and independent curator. In addition to her pretty face and business knowledge, Klum is also a talented painter and dedicated one of herpaintings/sculptures to the rescue dogs who were vital during the rescue efforts of 9/11. 3. Amanda Seyfried – Knitting Unlike many actresses who struggle to find consistent work, Amanda Seyfriend has been relevant in Hollywood since 2004 with a variety of roles. Despite being prominent for several years, Seyfried is not often seen in the tabloids for any scandalous behaviors. As a result, many young women can relate to her because she is down to earth. Amanda may not have as many Instagram followers as other leading actresses, but her girl next door image should perhaps give away her hidden talent of being an avid knitter. The paparazzi have taken many shots of her knitting while sitting on benches in New York City or walking down the street with her yard in her hand. 2. Emma Stone – Signing The Signatures of All 5 Spice Girls Emma Stone may be in and out of the celebrity gossip mill for her on and off again relationship with actor Andrew Garfield, but there is no doubting that she is an amazing actress (including in the Amazing Spider-Man series, alongside Garfield). Emma knows how to walk the red carpet with the best of them, but when she is out on the town, she dresses casually with a personality that many of us can relate to. Her name may sound like that of a British actress, which leads me to reveal her crazy talent. Emma can sign the signatures of all 5 Spice Girls and is one of the biggest celebrity Spice Girl fans even up until today. When Stone was doing an interview with Austraila 2Day, Stone got given the opportunity to talk with Mel B (Scary Spice) and the acclaimed actress broke down stating “Oh my god, I’m so excited. I’m legitimately crying. I’m the biggest Spice Girls fan ever.” 1. Beyoncé – Acting/Connect 4 There may be a lot of powerhouse ladies on this list, but I don’t know if any of them hold a candle to Beyoncé. Much like Heidi Klum, Beyoncé has found success in several areas of her life. This includes, but is not limited to modeling, business ventures, being a mother and she might be KIND OF successful as a musician (oh and she’s married to JAY-Z). One talent that Beyoncé may want to be a little less hidden, is her acting ability. Beyoncé was outstanding as she lent her voice to the role of Queen Tara, in the animated film Epic. On top of that, Beyoncé is apparently incredibly good at playing Connect 4.
