Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been all over the news in the past weeks due to Heard’s allegations of physical abuse against Depp. Heard even made the public announcement on the same day Depp’s new movie Alice Through The Looking Glass was released in theaters! Although, it didn’t seem to have any effect on the film, which came in at $20 million on its first weekend and is now up to $105 million at the box office. Will this have a devastating effect on Depp’s acting career? Or, will people get past it like they did with Woody Allen after his sexual abuse allegations were brought to light? Hilary Swank & Ruben Torres Rumors have it that it was Hilary, who ended up calling off her engagement to the former tennis pro, Ruben Torres. Swank and Torres dated for almost a year prior to getting engaged in March. However, it seems the engagement butterflies didn’t last for long, as Swank was seen making an appearance at the 2016 French Open at the beginning of June without her engagement ring. The actress has also deleted the engagement announcement she posted to Instagram and Twitter. This would have been Swank’s second marriage; she was previously married to actor Chad Lowe for 10 years before they divorced in 2007. 17. Liza Weil & Paul Adelstein Weil and Adelstein are both pretty well known television actors who have been on many popular shows. Liza Weil is known for her role as Paris Gellar in Gilmore Girls, or more recently as Bonnie in How to Get Away With Murder. Paul Adelstein has played Dr. Cooper in Private Pracitice, and is currently on the hit show Scandal. The pair both play roles in Shonda Rimes’ hit shows, aka Shondaland. The couple married in 2006 and were married for almost 10 years before announcing their separation in January of 2016. Weil has been said to be in the process of filing for divorce. The couple has a young daughter, Josephine. Weil is requesting joint custody. 16. Lea Michele & Matthew Paetz After the devastating loss of her boyfriend Cory Monteith to an overdose a few years back, it seemed that Lea Michele had finally found happiness again with model Matthew Paetz. The pair had been together for almost two years before the split. Apparently, Paetz, 30, broke up with Lea Michele out of left field with no prior warning signs. Lea had reportedly hit a rough patch after Glee wrapped and she was constantly complaining about not getting enough work. Sounds like she was taking out a little of that frustration on her man! Idris Elba & Naiyana Garth Longtime couple Idris Elba and Naiyana Garth have announced their split. The couple has a 22-month-old son. Rumors have it that Idris has moved out of their home in London and is renting a flat nearby. Elba was spotted no less than a few days later with infamous supermodel Naomi Campbell. Campbell has been a longtime friend and admirer. Author of his biography, Idris Elba: Actor, DJ, Legend, Nadia Cohen said, “He’s at the peak of his career and one of the most desired men in the world and maybe having a young baby doesn’t chime with that. It seems like he won’t ever settle down.” 14. Nina Dobrev & Austin Stowell The Vampire Diaries star and fellow actor Austin Stowell had been fairly public on social media during their seven-month relationship. The couple shared photos with fans of the pair onlavish vacations and in romantic poses. They seemed to be totally smitten with each other. However, fans started speculating that the couple was headed for splitsville when Nina showed up to Super Bowl 50 without Stowell by her side. “Sunday Funday #HappyGALentinesDay,” she wrote on Instagram along with a Polaroid photo of herself with close friends. The couple decided to call it quits in late January, citing busy schedules as their reason for splitting. 13. Khloe Kardashian & James Harden After a rough go with soon to be ex-husband Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian seemed to find some short-lived happiness with professional basketball player James Harden. The two had many fun-filled moments together. Although rumors of cheating on Harden’s part have been circling, the pair still claims that nothing bad happened to cause the relationship to end. The couple claimed that they simply did not get a chance to see each other or talk enough, and things just fizzled out. 12. Frances Bean Cobain & Isiah Silva Daughter of the infamous rock legend Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean Cobain recently filed for divorce from her husband, Isaiah Silva. Frances Bean is citing irreconcilable differences after 21 months of marriage. Cobain is fearful that Silva might try to go after her family’s $450 million fortune. She is asking that all premarital assets be awarded to her separately. Cobain is even willing to pay spousal support, as long as he doesn’t go anywhere near her father’s estate! 11. Jaimie Alexander & Peter Facinelli Blindspot ’s Jaimie Alexander and Supergirl ’s Peter Facinelli broke things off before they could make things official! The two were engaged to be married this year. The two had met on the set of a romantic comedy, Loosies, back in 2012, which they were both starring in. The couple cited busy work schedules and being bicoastal as the reason for the breakup. They claimed that they could not make the relationship a priority at this time. Amber Heard has shocked the public, making allegations that her husband Johnny Depp had physically assaulted her. Amber has since filed her divorce petition, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple has only been married for a little over a year, having wed in February of 2015. The couple had no prenup in place. Heard is requesting spousal support from Depp. She showed up to the courthouse in Los Angeles with a bruise over her eye that she claimed was the result of Johnny throwing a cell phone at her face. Text messages between Heard and Depp’s assistant describing the assault and discussing the issues in detail have been released to the public.
