We’re not sure exactly why, but the idea of a shy hot girl hiding behind a pair of glasses really gets us going. Perfectly framed around her more than adorable features, it’s hard not to imagine her as the cutest study buddy ever. Really getting to the crux of the glasses appeal, it’s hard not to imagine studying opposite Gomez one night during finals and just hoping things get taken to a less than a platonic place. Rocking both casual and formal, we love to imagine Lovato being the kind of girl who looks as good dressed down as she does dressed up. With a naturally pretty face and a one in a million smile, glasses just makes her all the more personable. They remind us of getting lost in the pretty girl sitting across from us in math class, and late night study sessions with our crush at the library. While some girls let black plastic frames eat up at their whole face, with her dark black hair, these frames perfectly suit Lovato’s low maintenance style. We can dig it. 9. Lupita Nyong’o In many ways larger than life, glasses bring a kind of humility to Lupita that makes us think she’d literally be the perfect girl to take home to the folks. The moment we completely fell for Grande had to be her Saturday Night Live appearance which not only proved she had some of the best vocals in pop music but a keen sense of humour. The glasses were the ultimate prop and helped pull together the whole scene and ignite a million and one fantasies for every straight guy who watched it. Lucy Hale You might not know Lucy Hale unless your girlfriend has forced you to watch Pretty Little Liars , but it’s about time you become acquainted with the singer/actress because she’s our newest crush. This southern girl is ridiculously cute and setting the bar high for all brunettes to follow. With a perfect mix of sweet and sultry, glasses bring together the whole look and we gotta say we’re almost jealous of how freaking great she looks here. While she is twenty-seven years old she looks quite a bit younger than her age suggests, and we are really hoping she eventually breaks away from the teen television racket and progresses to some more mature roles for purely selfish reasons. 4. Christina Hendricks Christina Hendricks is all women, and ever since we first started watching Mad Men , we knew we would be ruined forever. Brunettes have more or less dominated this list, but our real glasses kryptonite is a beautiful red-head. While Christina is apparently a natural blonde, she’s been dying her hair since her teens and we can’t even imagine her any other way. The glasses honestly play up all her best features and remind us that through this whole adventure in sexy fantasies, we somehow forgot the sexy secretary stereotype. As Joan on Mad Men , we understand why men were all over their secretaries in the 1960s, especially ones who look as hot as Hendricks. While more often than not choosing the right frame is the key to good glasses, we especially love how Christina’s here have those hints of green that really plays off beautifully with her red hair and makes her blue eyes pop all the more! 3.
