Why Angelina Jolie is divorcing Brad Pitt - Angelina Jolie has recently announced that she has filed for divorce against husband Brad Pitt. The news came as a shock to the world, who had long praised the gorgeous couple, but in the end, the two actors have decided to do what is best for their children, and immediately separate. Jolie filed for divorce on September 19, on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences” and has been preparing to settle their $400 million divorce. (With Pictures) There has been much speculation over what could have caused the couple to file for divorce, and there will continue to be, until everything is settled. There has even been rumours flying around that Pitt cheated on Jolie with Allied co-star Marion Cotillard, but many believe this to be false. The couple, who had been together since 2005, recently started to show signs that they were having problems, which is why many tabloids had predicted this split months ago. However, since Pitt and Jolie had only tied the knot in 2014 and share six children together, many believed that they would be inseparable. Jolie and Pitt met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith , and immediately fell in love. Pitt who had been married to actress Jennifer Aniston for five years at the time, decided to file for divorce and continue his lust-filled relationship with Jolie. They Don’t See Eye-To-Eye As many of you know, Angelina Jolie has put her acting career on somewhat of a hiatus to focus on her humanitarian work. However, it has been said that Brad Pitt may have had some doubts over her political aspirations. Jolie is already a special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and has time and time again, balanced being an actress, a mother and a wife amongst many other things, in Pitt’s eyes, adding any more to the pot would cause it to boil over. However, Jolie has paid no mind to Pitts hesitations and has even been considering taking up British politics, but to do so, she would need to sell Chateau Miraval in France. Pitt refused this demand, especially since he had just finished renovating the estate, which also produces the couples own personal brand of pink wine. The fight now seems rather pointless after their choice to file for a divorce. Maybe after the divorce is finalized, Pitt will be able to keep Chateau Miraval and Jolie will be free to pursue her dreams in British politics. 11. Angelina Changed After Her Double Mastectomy In February 2013, Jolie underwent a preventative double mastectomy after discovering that she indeed carried the gene BRCA1. This gene, caused the actress to be at risk of contracting breast cancer, and so Jolie did what was best for herself as well as her family, and removed the faulty tissues. Jolie also discovered upon her visit to the doctor, that she had a 50% chance of being attained by ovarian cancer. Jolie’s own mother, Marcheline Bertrand, past away from ovarian cancer back in 2007, and it was her dying wish for her daughter to be more vigilant when it came to this heredity disease, and so Jolie fulfilled her mother’s wish by removing her own ovaries in 2015. After going through such difficult surgeries, Jolie has completely changed her views on life. She feels truly blessed to be able to live and to be in a position where she can help the world she lives in. Going through such a drastic change and being able to view life in a different light has made Jolie see that life is short. 10. Different Parenting Skills Having six children can take up a lot of your spare time, but so can being an actor. When you have to leave your home for weeks at a time to film a movie, your children are usually the ones who pay the price. Despite all that, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have still managed to be present and positive influences in their children lives. With numerous travels, and busy life-styles, comes the need for an extra set of hands, and so Pitt and Jolie have, time and time again, hired nannies to look over their children. Three former nannies have actually come out and informed the public on how the soon-to-be divorces have been raising their children in a conflicting way. “She lets the kids learn what they want and ignore the stuff that doesn’t interest them. And they don’t take tests or do homework. Let’s face it, none of those kids will ever be going after low-level jobs, so it’s not like they need a formal education the way other kids would,” said one particular nanny. 9. Brad Has Anger Issue When it comes to the couple’s divorce — Angelina Jolie’s requests have been quite simple; she does not want any money from Brad Pitt or anything of materialistic value, but she wants physical custody of the children. She will allow Pitt visitations rights, but no more than that. Now, as we all know, when it comes to divorces, the mother is usually granted sole custody, but what has Pitt really done to deserve this? He has always seemed like a great father, one who is present and interested in his kids well being. Well according to Jolie, this is not the case. Jolie has stated that Pitt has such profound anger issues, that she fears, they will become hazardous to their children. Pitt, who acted like it was the first time he had ever been told of these ‘anger issues’, has retaliated by saying these accusations are a “malicious lie.” 8. Jealousy At one point in time, Brad Pitt was considered to be one of the most attractive men on Earth, and so it comes to no surprise that Pitt has a tendency to get hit on. Of all people, you would think that Angelina Jolie could understand that, but apparently the actress has been dealing with jealousy for quite some time now. “Brad is a charismatic guy who loves people. Angelina Has Hired Private Investigators To Follow Brad A source states that Jolie actually went as far as hiring a private investigator to follow Pitt around, because she did not trust him with Cotillard. When Jolie was informed that she was right on the matter — she immediately filed for divorce. Jolie, who founded her relationship with Pitt by means of an affair, has always felt that her husband could do it again, and so trust was never a foundation in their marriage. “She hired a private eye because she felt that he was fooling around with her on the set, and it turns out, he was. Brad Didn’t Take Angelina’s Movie Seriously Angelina Jolie wrote and directed the film By The Sea , a movie that tells the story of an unhealthy and disintegrating marriage. The plot-line of this movie entails a married couple who is trying to come to terms with their numerous miscarriages, while taking up vacancy in a hotel in France. The couple fight, and tear themselves down piece-by-piece, all the while consuming excessive amounts of alcohol. By The Sea was tackled immediately after Jolie and Pitt were married in 2014, and was actually filmed while on their honeymoon in Malta. Which, many could agree, is a particular way to spend a honeymoon. Pitt did not seem too happy with the shoot, and often showed up late for rehearsal, which also caused some strain on their relationship. “There were a few days when we thought ‘a working honeymoon’ wasn’t the best idea,” said the award-winning actress, and she was probably right. 5. Drifting Apart For Months Having a busy schedule can put a strain on any relationship, but imagine throwing six children in the middle and two acting careers. Now that can get quite hectic, but wait — there’s more. Angelina Jolie is known for having quite the jam-packed agenda, not only is she a mom, a wife, and an actress but she also partakes in many humanitarian events. Jolie also has her family, her friends, her fitness and her well being to deal with on top of all that, and so with all that going on in her life — where’s does Brad Pitt fit in? Pitt who has also had his hands full with his personal life as well as his acting career, has been drifting apart from his wife. With so many responsibilities, and little play time, it is no wonder that ‘Brangelina’ has decided to separate into Brad and Angelina. 4. Angelina’s Outrageous Demands Although Angelina Jolie has been praised for her hippie-like attitude, she has also been known to have very strict demands – especially when it comes to Brad Pitt. She even went as far as demand Pitt take a DNA test to prove that he was not the father of Melissa Etheridge’s children. The cause of this demand? Etheridge had once revealed, while on a talk show, that she had considered Pitt as a possible sperm donor for her children. Jolie, who grew suspicious of this statement, commanded Brad to get tested. Even though Etheridge had later stated, that she had used singer David Crosby’s sperm to conceive her children. “Angie wants closure on the issue, so she’s demanding Brad undergo a paternity test. But Brad says Angie is being paranoid,” says a source. The same source also stated that Jolie warned her husband that if he did not clear up this mess, she would go straight to Etheridge and demand answers. 3. Flirty Nanny, Flirty Brad Angelina Jolie apparently fired her nanny, just months before she filed for divorce from her now estranged husband Brad Pitt. Jolie, who did not believe there to be an affair going on between Pitt and their nanny, fired her because she did not feel comfortable with her behaviour around Pitt. Jolie’s paranoia got the best of her and she fired the girl before anything could escalate, especially since Pitt has been known to be a flirty as well. According to a source, it became painfully obvious that the nanny was constantly flirting with Pitt, and even following him around. “She noticed the nanny was always at the pool when Brad was there. Her paranoia grew even further when she saw him fresh out of the shower wrapped in just a towel, getting some juice while the nanny was also in the kitchen with a huge smile on her face!” said the source. Jolie did not waste any time and immediately sent the naughty nanny packing. 2. Brad’s Alcohol And Drug Intake Brad Pitt has quite the history when it comes to smoking weed and getting drunk. However, Pitt swore that he gave up all his bad habits, once he took on the responsibilities of being a father. Pitt has not hidden behind his past either — he has appeared on numerous talk shows and spoken about his many adventures while under the influence of pot and hard liquor. He even once bragged about rolling “the perfect joint.” while on The Bill Maher Show . Although Pitt has stated that he “gave it up,” many would beg to differ — including Angelina Jolie. Jolie, who is seeking physical custody over their children, has made it clear that Pitt has an anger problem, and that his anger is only amplified when he partakes in drugs and booze.
