What happens when you take a British-designed roadster and stuff an American V8 into it? You get a legendary sports car which is sure to qualify as one of the sexiest. Also known as the Shelby Cobra, this car is often considered the benchmark of American muscle cars. Small, powerful and with curves in all the right places, this is one of the most sought after cars on the planet. Originals from the 1960s may be hard to come by but there are also Continuation versions built from the 1980s onward which have all the looks that attract so many car enthusiasts.
16. 2014-Present – BMW i8
BMW has produced some good looking cars over the years but, in comparison to the likes of Ferrari, Maserati and co., you’d be hard pressed to classify them as “sexy.” With the BMW i8, this has changed. In a way, the i8 is probably the sexiest car on this list because of its appeal to a large base. As a hybrid it should appeal to the tree-huggers among us. For the rest of us, the futuristic lines make the i8 look as though BMW, Audi and Lamborghini all sat down together when developing this car. One look and you can see that it’s so radically different from anything else the German company has created that it deserves a spot on the sexy list.
