Not even pop singers “pop” in the right places. Like that one time Rolling Stone made Katy Perry’s boobs bigger for the cover of their magazine, although they obviously didn’t stop there. They trimmed down her thighs, smoothed her skin and removed all of the moles from her neck. Not to list all of the ways this woman fails to measure up to Hollywood’s standards, but Maxim also photoshopped her legs before they allowed the magazine to hit the stands. Katy Perry also manages to give her Internet audience a lot to work with, meme-wise. Regardless, there is no question she’s what teenage dreams are made of.
7. Jennifer Lawrence
We have to admire Jennifer Lawrence’s more lighthearted approach to being photoshopped, which is rather rare (see the angry Demi Moore, above, for more). Joking with Access Hollywood, she said: “That doesn’t look like me at all. I love Photoshop more than anything in the world. Of course it’s Photoshop, people don’t look like that.” Sadly, she’s often made to look thinner by the media, even though she is a normal size, at 139 pounds for her 5’9 height (yes, celeb body statistic websites are very much a real thing). This poor woman can’t even escape her fingers being made slimmer. Good job, Flare Magazine, for that one. In the words of Jennifer Lawrence: “What are you going to do? Be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That’s just dumb.” We can’t agree more.
