In a video posted on social media, the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru, says the current scarcity of petrol is as a result of marketers hoarding the products. According to Baru, in addition to existing supplies on ground, 3 ships are currently unloading 150 million litres of petrol. He said NNPC will push this additional supply out within 3-4 days.
”I am constantly briefing Mr. President on the #fuelscarcity situation and our efforts in resolving it. We have challlenges with marketers hoarding products, but we are on top of it. Nigerians should be less panicky. We have stepped up our efforts to end the scarcity”he said
