Flying Eagles Coach Ladan Bosso has expressed his delight over the inclusion of some foreign-based players in the provisional squad for the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.
Speaking to Brila FM, Bosso praised the impact of his two Italy-based stars, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro and Victor Eletu, who play for the youth sides of Inter Milan and AC Milan in Serie A.
“We have good players particularly the ones in Milan (Akinsanmiro and Eletu). They have lit up the team and we are ready for the tournament,” Bosso said.
The Flying Eagles, who have up to 12 foreign-based players in the provisional squad, had initially planned to use 75% of the players that were part of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. However, the addition of the foreign legion has altered that plan.
Bosso, who was appointed as the coach of the Flying Eagles in February, is confident that his team can do well in the tournament.
