The latest installment saw the Avengers – Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – try and stop the evil and villainous Ultron (James Spader) from enacting his evil plans, after Iron Man and Hulk try and jump start a peacekeeping program that goes awry.
Avengers: Age of Ultron, along with Ant-Man, marked the end of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Two. Phase Three begins with Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and will include Dr. Strange (2016),Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Spider-Man (2017), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Black Panther (2018),Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 (2018), Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Captain Marvel (2019), Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 (2019), and concludes with Inhumans (2019).
Within the Avengers films in particular, there is a lot of action and a multitude of superheroes to keep track of, so it is inevitable that certain mistakes get past the editors in post-production. Avengers: Age of Ultron is no exception, and here we look at 10 of those mistakes that you may have missed when you were too busy listening to Iron Man’s quips or watching Black Widow’s back flips.
10. Ad-Hoc Time Scale
During the film, the Avengers go to Hawkeye’s farmhouse for some R and R. Whilst there we see Tony Stark (Iron Man) chopping wood outside the barn. His watch tells us it is 12:20, yet when he goes back into the barn and talks to Fury (Samuel. L Jackson) the time on the watch is 11:20. Time appears to have gone backwards an hour. Does Hawkeye’s barn cross time zones? Or is there a little bit of a mistake going on here? Given that this is a Marvel film, time travel is entirely possible, however in this instance we believe it is a goof.
