Former Manchester City and Inter Milan attacker, Mario Balotelli, has named Erling Haaland as the best striker in the world. Balotelli described Haaland as extraordinary while also hailing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen as special, saying the Nigerian striker reminds him of himself in his heyday.
“Erling [Haaland] is extraordinary. The numbers tell you that he is the best striker in the world, but for me, it is a question of personal preference,” Balotelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“[Victor] Osimhen, for example, is special. He does everything on the pitch and reminds me a little bit of myself in my heyday, although he is unique in himself.”
Haaland recently led Manchester City to win this season’s Premier League title as he scored a record-breaking 36 goals in the English top-flight league.
Osimhen, on the other hand, led Napoli to win the Serie A title as he has so far scored 25 goals in the Italian top-flight league.
